In accordance with Article 40 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the Digital Services Act (“DSA”) and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/2050 (“Delegated Regulation”), this page provides information for vetted researchers and regulatory authorities on how to request access to data held by XVideos for the sole purpose of conducting research that contributes to the detection, identification and understanding of systemic risks in the EU, as set out pursuant to Article 34(1) DSA, and to the assessment of the adequacy, efficiency and impacts of the risk mitigation measures pursuant to Article 35 DSA. The information below is published pursuant to Article 6 of the Delegated Regulation.
Any personal data processed in connection with the DSA data access process are processed only to the extent proportionate and necessary for that purpose and in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). Processing within the DSA Data Access Portal uses IT infrastructure located in the EEA.
When providing access to data under a reasoned request from the relevant Digital Services Coordinator (“DSC”), XVideos applies measures proportionate to sensitivity of the data, including secure processing environments and access controls.
Please note that the information on this page is indicative and does not guarantee availability of or access to the data. Any access to data requires a valid reasoned request issued by the relevant DSC.
Contact point for vetted researchers
Our dedicated point of contact provides information and support on the Article 40 DSA data access process:

DSA Data Access Portal
All data access applications and reasoned requests are managed via the official DSA Data Access Portal (“Portal”) maintained by the European Commission. The Portal serves as the central digital point for information on the data access process and facilitates the information exchanges among applicant researchers, vetted researchers, data providers and DSCs. The Portal is not a data-access modality.
DSA Data Catalogue
The Data Catalogue gives an overview of data assets that may be requested by researchers under Article 40(4) DSA for the purpose of conducting research on systemic risks in the EU and their mitigation.

Suggested Access Modalities
In line with Article 6(4)(d) of the Delegated Regulation, XVideos suggests the following data access modalities for the data included in the Data Catalogue, which are adequate to the level of sensitivity of the different data assets. Please note that access modalities listed below are indicative only. The final access modalities are determined by the DSC in each reasoned request.
- Aggregated export (S1): for low-sensitivity data (aggregated/anonymised).
- Guarded API access (S2): for medium-sensitivity data (technical/organisational controls and rate limits).
- Secure processing environment (S3): for highly sensitive data (account-based access, audit logs, no raw export)
